DTS Welcome

DTS Welcome

At long last it’s here.  The DTS has started, and we have 21 students from Canada, the US, Mexico, the Netherlands, Honduras, and Germany. For the next twelve weeks, they will be part of our community in Ensenada, learning a variety of topics, including The Nature and Character of God, Worship, Intercession, the Holy Spirit, Identity In Christ, and more.

This year’s school has a focus on worship and intercession, which is the reason that the two of us are leading it.  Along with the usual DTS cirriculum, the students will spend 2 hours a day in worship and prayer.  It will be a really intense time with God, leading up to the outreach, where they will break into two teams, and visit Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Last night we had our traditional welcome dinner, with Carne Asada tacos and a Mariachi band.  The weekend will be pretty low key, and then we’ll start classes on Monday morning.

Keep us in your prayers, as the hours are long, and we’re trying to find the balance between being school leaders, and parents.  We’re trying to involve David and Maya as much as we can, in an attempt to integrate them into what we are doing.  So far, so good, but please continue to pray.
