So back in May, we were invited to a conference in Tijuana. The confrence, called the Acts1 Gathering, was a gathering of about 70 YWAM leaders from all over North America, where our Agenda was just to spend time waiting on the Lord, (as they did in Acts Chapter 1). The conference was amazing, as the Lord began to give us a renewed understanding of the importance of worship, prayer, and bible study to our ministries. We also felt that we needed to open this up for a larger group, than just leaders.
Several of the leaders then began to make arrangements to have more such gatherings in their regions. There are (or have been) 4 or 5 such gatherings this month. We came together with YWAM Los Angeles in Tijuana, with a group of about 120. The students in the DTS we are leading were brought into the confrence, as well as doing their normal classes this week.
Like the last gathering, we had an incredible time. Steve was the primary worship leader for the conference. It was challenging as we never really had an idea of where things were going when we started. But God showed up every time, and used it all, despite a lack of preparation, in a traditional sense.
On Monday, we’re going to spend some time processing the week, as we were insanely busy all week long.
