I
was born and raised in Canada. After finishing school, I started working in the technology industry, until 2001, when I felt the Lord leading me to to to Mexico. It was there that I was to be part of a 5 month Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission, and that was it; I was hooked.
Upon completing the training school, I signed up to come back for the summer, which quickly extended into a 2 year commitment, which has since become a long-term deal, with no end in sight. I’ve learned how to speak Spanish, and eat spicy food, and now feel quite at home in Mexico. I’ve built homes for more than 100 needy families here in Ensenada, and I’ve done pretty much everything from cleaning up poo to video conferencing, to teaching classes on computers, and speaking to groups of young people.
My first week in Mexico, they made me the worship leader, because I could sing, and play guitar. What began as a burden for me, quickly transformed my life, and my relationship with God. My passion in ministry is worship. Together with my wife, I direct a Discipleship Training School, with a focus on worship and prayer. Also School of Worship; a secondary level training school for worshippers and worship leaders. I organize, and often lead our weekly worship night. I teach on worship, and I try to express my passion on the subject, so other people will catch it too. The more time I spend on the topic, the more in Love with God, I fall; and I think that’s an important thing, in my line of work.
